The one roll Yahtzee at 6 in 7,776 is the famous 1 in 1,296. Played properly across all three rolls, holding any matching dice and re rolling the rest, the chance of finishing a turn with a Yahtzee rises to about 4.6 percent, roughly one turn in 22.
Holding well is most of the game
The three roll structure rewards simple discipline: hold the largest matching group and re roll everything else when chasing a Yahtzee or four of a kind, and hold a four card run when chasing a straight. The roller's combination label updates as you hold, which makes it easy to see when a full house in hand beats gambling for three more of a kind.
A fair set of five
